VILLAGE OF MINONG RESOLUTION NUMBER: 2021-01-04

STATE OF WISCONSIN, WASHBURN COUNTY

REQUIRING VILLAGE OF MINONG CITIZEN COMPLAINTS TO BE COMPLETED IN WRITTEN FORM FOR BOARD CONSIDERATION

The Village Board of the Village of Minong, Washburn County, Wisconsin, by this Resolution, and adopted by a majority of the Village Board, signed by the Village Board, with a quorum present and proper notice having been given, resolves and orders as follows:

              Whereas, the Village of Minong recognizes the importance of enforcing Village ordinances and responding to citizen complaints pertaining to Village Ordinances or other complaints that would affect the public’s overall peace and safety in the Village; and

              Whereas, the Village of Minong wishes to be complete and thorough with a timely investigation and response to all complainants who perceive Village ordinances are violated, or who need to report activity that they believe may be a public nuisance affecting peace and safety; and

              Whereas, a specific written letter describing the ordinance violation or complaint, delivered to the board within 30 days of the event, will aid the board in those endeavors.

              Now, therefore be it resolved that:

              The Village of Minong, hereby approves requiring that all citizen complaints alleging violation of Village ordinances or other complaints that would affect the public’s overall peace and safety, be submitted in written form to the Clerk/Treasurer’s office within thirty days of the alleged violation. The Village Clerk/Treasurer to notify the Village Board in the manner as described in Chapter 2 -Administration. Introduction of business, resolutions, and ordinances; disposition of communications, Sec. 2-59 of the Village of Minong ordinances.
